SAN ANGELO, TX — Did you notice a smoky smell in the air on Sunday morning?

According to a Nixle alert sent out on Jan. 16, crews are currently working a prescribed burn near the area of Arden and Burma Rd.

SAPD warns people that the smoke is heavy inside the city limits.

Prescribed burns are conducted by licensed professionals and are exempt from burn bans.

A ban on outdoor burning remains in effect for Tom Green County and the surrounding counties until further notice.
