SAN ANGELO – Forecasters say expect temperatures to drop slowly throughout the day as a cold air mass filters in behind that cold front that brought showers to West Texas early Wednesday morning.
According to information from meteorologists with the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, temperatures in the mid 50s at daybreak will fall into the 40s by Wednesday afternoon region wide.
Some moisture in the atmosphere will make showers possible Wednesday while a disturbance in the upper atmosphere might allow for the development of a few thunderstorms.
There is an 80% chance of additional rainfall across West Texas throughout the day but the rain will be light and flooding is not expected.
The clouds and cool temperatures will continue through Thursday. Expect Sunny skies and warmer temperatures to return on Friday with afternoon lights reaching the upper 60s.
Forecasters expect a warming trend throughout the week next week.
