Cool & Wet Weather on the Way to the Concho Valley

SAN ANGELO – The first week of November will be cooler and wetter as a couple of cold fronts usher in rain chances and cooler temperatures.  

According to meteorologists with the National Weather Service in San Angelo, a cold front will make its way through West Central Texas Sunday and stall along a Mertzon to Cross Plains line.  

Afternoon temperatures south of the front will remain warm in the 80s while the afternoon will be cooler north of the front with temps in the 70s. 

That cooler and wetter pattern will settle in across the area in the next few days with another cold front expected to slowly cross the region Monday and Tuesday bringing rain chances to the San Angelo area late Tuesday night into Wednesday.  Currently, there is a 30% chance of rain Tuesday night increasing to 60% on Wednesday.  

Temperatures will be cooler throughout the week with highs mainly in the 50s and 60s Tuesday through Thursday.  

There is no severe weather expected at this time.
