NWS: Flood Advisory for the Concho Valley Saturday Morning

 

SAN ANGELO – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo has issued a flood advisory effective until 9:45 a.m. for parts of the Concho Valley. 

Thunderstorms with heavy rain are moving across the Concho Valley including the city of San Angelo and the surrounding area dumping heavy rainfall.  Streets in San Angelo are flooded and creeks and streams are also flooded in low lying rural areas. 

Officials are reporting 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain has fall across the area with more expected. 

The line of showers and thunderstorms is expected to move out of the area by mid morning giving way to clear and dry conditions the remainder of the weekend.
