WATCH: Rain Swollen Rivers Have Flood Waters Headed to Twin Buttes

CHRISTOVAL, TX – All the rivers flowing into Twin Buttes Reservoir are on the rise Wednesday following unseasonably heavy rainfall Sunday and Monday.

Spring Creek, Dove Creek, the Middle Concho River at Tankersley and the South Concho River at Christoval all flooded with the South Concho cresting overnight Tuesday evening.

Officials closed Loop 110 in Christoval over the S. Concho river as the water reached the roadway on the bridge.

It's still too early to tell just how much water Twin Buttes will receive.

Rain chances continue for the Concho Valley through Thursday evening.

Waters on the S. Concho and Middle Concho rivers are receding at this time.
