SAN ANGELO, TX – Showers and thunderstorms are likely to stay north of the San Angelo area Monday while chances increase over the area Monday night into Tuesday.
According to information from the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, severe thunderstorms are possible across a large part of West Texas this afternoon and tonight. The main threat will be large hail with dangerous high winds and tornadoes possible.
The highest risk is north of a Sterling City to Abilene line.
There will be several rounds of thunderstorms so the threat of flooding is also possible across the region. Rain chances continue across the Concho Valley through Wednesday.
The chance of rain in San Angelo is 20 percent for Monday with chances increasing to 60 percent Monday night and 70 percent on Tuesday.
