Abilene Zoo to host Fundraising Event

ABILENE,TX – This Saturday, the Abilene Zoo is holding a Zoobilation benefit in honor of Grover Nelson Park Zoological Foundation.

On Saturday, April 24,2021, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., you can come face to face and meet exotic animals like a warthog, kinkajou, sloth, and a red-tailed boa among others at the event.

The night will feature a gourmet meal and signature cocktails after which you’ll go on a Safari Tour to get a behind-the-scenes look where the wild animals live.

The Grover Nelson Park Zoological Foundation has been leading the charge to build the Abilene Zoo into what it is today. It’s also been instrumental for ensuring growth of the zoo with exhibits like the newly opened Madagascar exhibit and the Giraffe Safari. Just as important is the expansion of a first class animal hospital and building rainy day reserves to continue helping the Abilene Zoo through uncertain times.
