Blowing Dust Across the Concho Valley Wednesday

SAN ANGELO, TX – Blowing dust across West Texas will make driving conditions difficult Wednesday and a Wind Advisory is in effect most of the day.

According to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, winds will be from the northwest at 30 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph.  The Wind Advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

A Wind Advisory means winds of 30 to 39 mph will occur.  Winds this high can knock down tree limbs and make driving high profile vehicles difficult.  Power outages are also possible throughout the day.

The blowing dust and high winds will subside overnight.

A severe thunderstorm system blew through the Concho Valley Tuesday night dumping hail across San Angelo and the surrounding area.  Gusty winds and lots of lightning came with the storms.  There are no reports of widespread power outages or property damage at this time.
