Record Bass Caught for 7 Straight Days in This San Angelo Area Reservoir

SAN ANGELO, TX – Looking to catch some big fish? Well O.H. Ivie might be the spot for you.

According to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Inland Fisheries Department, over the past seven days, either a Sharelunker Bass was caught or a new Smallmouth lake record was set on O.H. Ivie.

From 7 lbs Small Mouth Bass to 14 lbs Sharlunker Large Mouth Bass, Ivie has been spitting out monster fish for all kinds of anglers. See the gallery below for this week's crazy catches:

O.H. Ivie is 55 miles East of San Angelo and is around 30 square miles.

Ivie gets it's water from two sources; the Concho River and the Colorado River. The only outflow of the river is back into the Colorado River.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife has stocked Ivie with bass regularly for years.

An elite Sharelunker Large Mouth has to weigh over 12 pounds. In 2021 more elite bass have been caught in Ivie than in 2020.

O.H. Ivie is listed as a "Hot Lake" right now by the Texas Parks and Wildlife's Sharelunker Program.
