SAN ANGELO, TX — Overnight and early Friday, Feb. 19 morning will be the end of the frigid cold outside air temperatures, according to the San Angelo National Weather Service. The forecast for Friday, Feb. 19, predicts a high of 48 degrees F during the afternoon with temperatures falling to a low of 27 degrees F Friday night. Saturday will be warmer still, with a high of 55.
By Sunday, Feb. 21 we can trade our jackets for windbreakers with a high of 59. The temperature will continue to creep up to highs in the low 70s by mid-next week.
On Monday, Feb. 15, San Angelo’s outside air temperature low of -1 degrees F broke a record low previously set in 1909. The power grid failed to keep up with demand statewide, and our water system in San Angelo was strained due to busted water mains.

- 718 N. Van Buren St. - working on now
San Angelo's water pipes had not yet pressurized as of Thursday, Feb. 18 evening to supply clean water to more than half the city. Bottled water is in short supply.
