The Record Breaking Snowstorm Continues; Winter Weather Advisory Issued Again

SAN ANGELO, TX – The snowstorm of 2021 continues as the National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

According the NWS freezing rain, sleet and snow are expected in the Concho Valley overnight with accumulations of a tenth of an inch to add to the 10 plus inches of snow that's already on the ground and frozen on roadways.

Temperatures will remain below freezing so the new precipitation overnight will add to the hazardous and dangerous driving conditions.

The bone-chilling wind chills along with the freezing precipitation will burst pipes, kill outdoor pets and endanger livestock.

In addition many Concho Valley residents remain without electricity making the situation much more dangerous and even deadly.

Driving conditions will deteriorate overnight and affect the morning commute Wednesday.

Officials warn motorists to slow down and drive with extreme caution of you must venture out.

Road conditions are available anytime by dialing 5-1-1.
