Winter Weather Advisory Extended Friday

SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo has extended the Winter Weather Advisory for the Concho Valley until 11 a.m. Friday.

According to the NWS, freezing drizzle will continue to fall creating icy sidewalks, bridges, overpasses and roadways south of a Sweetwater to Coleman to San Saba line including the city of San Angelo.

Driving conditions will continue to be treacherous across the area as temperatures remain below freezing.

The high temperature Friday is expected to reach 29 degrees with wind chill values between 15 and 21 so ice that is present now will remain frozen.

This is a dangerous situation.  Do not drive if you don't have to.
