Winter Storm Watch Issued for the Concho Valley

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Big Country and parts of the Concho Valley from Saturday night through Sunday afternoon. 

A strong upper level storm system will move across the area bringing rain Saturday night which will switch over to snow by Sunday morning.  Forecasters are expecting heavy snow of two to four inches across most of the region including the San Angelo area.  

The Winter Storm Watch includes Sterling, Tom Green, Concho, McCulloch and San Saba counties.  

Roadways will become icy and snow packed in some areas Sunday making travel very difficult. 

Monitor the weather forecast for changes in this dangerous weather situation.
