SAN ANGELO, TX – National Weather Service meteorologists are forecasting a wet week in the Concho Valley including the possibility of snow.
According to the NWS office in San Angelo, a strong upper level storm system will move into the Concho Valley bringing rain as early as Monday night. The system will bring a blast of colder air and enough moisture to cause snowfall by Wednesday night.
Forecasters say there is a chance for severe thunderstorms Tuesday night including heavy rainfall and even small to medium sized hail. Damaging winds are also possible.
There is the potential for enough snow accumulation to create dangerously slick roadways and hazardous driving conditions Wednesday night.
The forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of rain tonight with east winds gusting to 25 mph.
On Tuesday, there is a 20 percent chance of rain with high temperatures around 70 degrees with south winds gusting to 30 mph. Tuesday night it'll be cloudy with a 70 percent chance of thunderstorms and a low around 44 degrees.
Wednesday showers and thunderstorms are likely with a high around 47 degrees. The chance for rain is 60 percent.
Wednesday night there is a 50 percent chance of snow with north winds gusting to 30 mph.
