Cold and Rainy Conditions Headed to the Concho Valley

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Rain and colder temperatures are on the way for the Concho Valley beginning Friday afternoon. 

According to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, a cold front has moved though West Central Texas bringing cooler temperatures and the chance of rain Friday night into Saturday. 

Freezing temperatures are forecast for next week.

There is a chance for rain and thunderstorms across the region beginning Friday afternoon.  There is a 20 percent chance of rain Friday afternoon increasing to a 60 percent chance after 3 a.m. Saturday morning. Thunderstorms are possible overnight with a quarter to a half inch of rain possible with heavier amounts with the thunderstorms.  The low temperature Friday night will be around 41 degrees. 

Showers are likely Saturday with thunderstorms before noon.  The chance of rain is 70 percent with a quarter to a half an inch of rain possible throughout the day.  The rain will end Saturday afternoon.

Overnight temperatures will drop below freezing each night from Sunday through Wednesday.  

Holiday travelers should prepare for wet and cold conditions over the weekend.
