Dove Season Starts with a Rainy and Cool Week

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – There is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms in the San Angelo area Tuesday just in time for the start of dove hunting season with lesser chances throughout the week.

According to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, expect periods of thunderstorms today and tonight.

A few of these storms could become strong to potentially severe. The main threats will be large hail, damaging winds, and localized flooding.

Wednesday through Monday Expect periods of thunderstorms Wednesday and thunderstorms are possible Thursday and Friday.

The main threats will be dangerous lightning and localized flooding.

The forecast calls for a A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Partly sunny and hot, with a high near 99. Heat index values as high as 106. South southwest wind around 10 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight showers and thunderstorms are likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 92. South wind around 5 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon.

Wednesday night the chance of rain is  30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. East northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

On Thursday there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Sunny, with a high near 95. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.

Thursday Night comes with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly clear, with a low around 70. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

By Friday  there is 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Sunny, with a high near 91. Light east wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night the chance of rain falls to 20 percent. Mostly clear, with a low around 70. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

And Saturday s 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms remains. Sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.
