NWS: Thunderstorms Developing Across Tom Green County

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Thunderstorms are developing Tuesday afternoon across Tom Green County.

According to the National Weather Service in San Angelo, at 2:00 p.m., doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southeast of Lake Nasworthy, or 7 miles northeast of Christoval. This storm was nearly stationary. Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Tom Green County.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop, across mainly the Concho Valley and Heartland, through 2:45 p.m. Brief gusty winds, dangerous lightning. and locally heavy rainfall will be possible. Hourly rainfall totals will generally remain below one half inch, with localized higher amounts possible.
