Heat Advisory Extended Through Wednesday Evening
SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service Office in San Angelo has extended the Heat Advisory through 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
Heat index values up to 107 degrees caused by high temperatures and high humidity will contribute to an increased risk for heat related illnesses.
A Heat Advisory means that hot weather conditions are occurring or expected.
This will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible.
Never, ever, leave children or pets alone in enclosed vehicles, not even for a few minutes
