Angler Sets New Record Bow Fishing on Lake Nasworthy

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The record for the largest Longnose Gar has been beaten after an angler caught one weighing over 10 lbs. 

According to the Inland Fisheries San Angelo District, on June 3, Braden Grady submitted a Longnose Gar for the new Lake Nasworthy waterbody record.

The gar was taken by bow fishing and weighed 10.3 lbs. and was 44.5 inches long.

The previous record was 8.3 lbs.
