NWS Issues Thunderstorm Warning for Tom Green County

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southeastern Tom Green County and West central Concho County in until 2:45 p.m.  At 1:43 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located near Veribest, or 11 miles east of San Angelo, moving southwest at 20 mph. Radar indicates 50 to 60 mph southwest of Veribest which is moving into eastern portions of the city of San Angelo. Radar indicates the thunderstorm may contain 60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.  This severe thunderstorm will be near Wall around 1:55 p.m.., Goodfellow Air Force Base around 2:00 p.m., Lake Nasworthy around 2:15 p.m., Christoval around 2:40 p.m. and  Knickerbocker around 2:45 p.m.
