NWS: Dangerous Storms and Flooding Possible Memorial Day Evening

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Thunderstorms this evening in the Concho Valley may not reach severe levels but could contain heavy rain and cause local flooding.

According to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and this evening.

The main hazards are large hail and damaging winds. Some of the storms may also produce heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. Some of the storms could be severe.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north after midnight.

Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
