PECOS, TX – The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a couple of earthquakes early Thursday morning just northwest of Pecos, TX.
The first earthquake was recorded as a 3.2-magnitude quake that took place at 12:24 a.m. about 0.62 miles south southwest of Loving, New Mexico. The depth of the quake was registered at 3.1 miles, according to the USGS.
A second tremor was recorded roughly 44.73 miles south southwest of Loving at 1:27 a.m. The 2.4-magnitude quake also recorded a depth of 3.1 miles, according to the USGS.
In the last seven days the USGS has reported four earthquakes, including Thursday’s pair of seismic activity.
The most recent earthquake was recorded Monday evening northeast of Odessa as a 2.4-magnitude earthquake which took place around 9:16 p.m.
