SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo and the Concho Valley are under a severe thunderstorm watch until midnight Tuesday night.
The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the following counties in west Texas:
BORDEN, CALLAHAN, COKE, COLEMAN, CONCHO, CRANE, CROCKETT, DAWSON, EDWARDS, FISHER, GARZA, GLASSCOCK, HASKELL, HOWARD, IRION, JONES, KENT, MARTIN, MENARD, MIDLAND, MITCHELL, NOLAN, PECOS, REAGAN, RUNNELS, SCHLEICHER, SCURRY, SHACKELFORD, STERLING, STONEWALL, SUTTON, TAYLOR, TERRELL, THROCKMORTON, TOM GREEN, UPTON, and VAL VERDE.
Severe thunderstorms are possible tonight and into the early morning hours Wednesday. The main hazards will be large hail, damaging winds, and dangerous lightning. Also, heavy rainfall may produce localized flash flooding.
Severe thunderstorms will be possible again Wednesday evening through early Thursday morning. Strong, damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes will be possible.
