Severe Weather Possible Election Night as the Polls Close

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Rain and thunderstorms are forecast to reach severe levels Tuesday evening and could affect voters casting ballots and timely election returns.

According to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon through tonight.

The main hazards are large hail and damaging winds. However, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. In addition, heavy rain could lead to flooding across the flood prone areas of our local communities.

Thunderstorms may continue into Wednesday causing additional flooding across our flood prone areas.

Tom Green County voters can cast ballots at any of the polls which are open until 7 p.m. at the following locations:

The forecast Tuesday night calls for showers and thunderstorms some of the storms could be severe. Low around 46. North northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
