Tornado Touches Down in Scurry County

 

SCURRY COUNTY, TX -- A small tornado briefly touched down in Scurry County late afternoon on Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Midland, the tornado touched down near Fluvana around 4:20 p.m. which put Scurry County under a tornado warning.

The Snyder Fire Marshal, Nathan Hines, told KTXS the tornado touched down two miles east of Fluvana on FM 612. He recorded the tornado touching down.

 Hines said there was no reported damage from the tornado.

The system continued into Kent County before regaining strength and producing strong wind and large hail in stonewall county, KTXS said.
