Hard Freeze Tonight and a Frigid Friday In Store for the Concho Valley
SAN ANGELO, TX -- Temperatures are forecast to drop into the lower 20s by early Friday morning with wind chills in the teens as an arctic cold front blasts West Central Texas tonight.
The National Weather Service office in San Angelo is predicting a hard freeze. Much colder conditions will spread south tonight behind a cold front.
Temperatures will drop into the low to mid 20s by sunrise Friday morning, with wind chill readings in the teens.
Friday through Wednesday a mixture of rain, snow, and ice pellets will be possible across the eastern portions of the area for Friday and Friday night, mainly east of a Brownwood to Brady to Junction line. Any precipitation will be light, and little impact is expected. The San Angelo area will remain cold and dry.
The forecast calls for clear and cold tonight with a low temperature around 25 degrees and north winds at 10 mph.
On Friday, expect temperatures to stay in the upper 30s with wind chills in the teens and twenties. It is going to be cold.
Friday night the temperature will drop to the mid 20s again and on Saturday look for temperatures in the lower 40s with wind chills in between 18 and 28 degrees.
