JUNCTION, TX -- The Llano River is moderately flooding in the Junction area again this morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Southern Kimble County until 10 a.m.
At 703 a.m., local law enforcement officials reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. High water rescues are taking place in Segovia.
Flash flooding is already occurring. This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for areas along Johnson Fork Creek in eastern Kimble County.
This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!
This includes the following low water crossings:
FM 2169 crossing Johnson Fork Creek... Old Segovia Rd. crossing Johnson Fork and crossings along County Road 410.
Do not drive through these low water crossings or any other low water crossing with water flowing across the roadway.
A Flash Flood Watch continues in effect until 7 p.m. today for much of West Central Texas. Showers, some producing moderate to heavy rainfall, will continue today and tonight.
The threat for flash flooding and river flooding continues, especially across the Northwest Hill Country and Heartland areas.
There is a 90 percent chance of additional rainfall today and an 80 percent chance of rain on Wednesday with temperatures in the mid 40s.
