Local Reaction: Kavanaugh Will Safeguard Personal Liberties
SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Live asked Tom Green County Republican Party Chairman Jeff Betty Monday night for reaction to President Trump's nomination of Brett Kavanaugh as U.S. Supreme Court Justice.
This is Chairman Betty's statement: "Brett Kavanaugh was a clerk for retiring Justice Kennedy. He had impeccable credentials having served for the last twelve years on the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. He has successfully passed through the confirmation process before and should have an easy time of it. Unfortunately, the party of the left and their friends in the media have made it clear that they will use any tactic in an effort to derail this process. Once Justice Kavanaugh is confirmed, it will no longer be possible for liberal activist judges to prevent the President from exercising his lawful and necessary power to lead this country even further back from the brink the former President was driving us to. I am certain our basic and fundamental liberties as citizens will be now safeguarded for at least the foreseeable future."

The only activist I knew growing up wore a pair of coveralls and wore a straw hat. I remember he stayed up for two solid days non stop plowing just so he could get the oats in at the right time.
Then he went back to his other full time job, truck driver.
So , when I see all these activists that learned these techniques from who knows, it doesn't make me feel great. You can see it plain as day , they learned this from being brain washed.
Also, I do not like the fact they are harassing people that are simply going to eat at a restaurant. That is not activism when you attack a public servant.

Have you ever thought about

going to work or maybe be a volunteer or maybe spend time with your family or take care of your yard.
Really you could do a lot of things more proactive than scour the net day and night on the east coast/New York web sites. Maybe you and our ol Buddy from the Bush years read Salon together.
I did have some idea, I don't know why , but I actually thought ol Ex Pat had learned something.
But sadly NO.
I'm not sure but Old Salt and Ex Pat could be the same person.
Or Bros.
But you are really IMO going nuts.
You don't have any ideas of your own.
The world is not going to end on the back of President Trump.
I'm not assassinating your character because I don't know you other than this forum.
Try to get some rest. Get some sleep. All of your stress is bad for you.

trump said he would drain the swamp, instead he turned it into a cess pool. So many resignations, people being fired. Pathetic.

I try not to get involved in power plays. I was born more of a negotiator or spectator. One time when I was on the sports team and we had met our greatest rival. I walked out on the floor and the referee whistled and said foul. I guess the coaches got mixed up and put the jersey on me with the wrong number. Our guys never let anything like that stop them, and taped over the number from 44 to some other number. This temporary fix only made our opposition laugh louder when we went back out onto the court. It didn't help that I was playing third string and sitting on the bench. It did make our guys so mad that they whooped them good.
it was amazing to see. I think God was trying to tell me something.
They looked like the Indiana Hoosiers. They were always good though and think they won some regional chamionships.
regional, nah, they were world champions.

when I was a kid, I met a lot of famous people.
The Harlem Globe Trotters came to town once, and I got to chance to meet some of the best that ever lived.
also, besides basketball, I also know a lot of the famous sports people like Barry Switzer, and a handful of others.
The most impressive ones I ever met though were the national championship teams of the OU Sooners. I was just a kid passing the football back n forth between some of the greatest players that ever lived.
When I was 6 or 7, I was passing the football with the Selmon brothers, and Joe Washington on Owens field in Norman . That might give me away as a Sooner.
Clueless
