Glitch in Wells Fargo's Online Bill Paying Feature Fixed

SAN FRANCISCO, CA-- After customers had been double charged by an online automatic bill paying feature through Wells Fargo, the bank announced the glitch was fixed on Thursday.

The glitch processed payments twice, causing customers to take their frustration to the internet.

Wells Fargo responded today with a statement on Twitter.

"We're sorry if you had an issue with your bill payments yesterday," they said. "Technical teams have corrected the errors."

Wells Fargo has seen their fair share of scandal. Back in 2016, the bank created millions of fake checking and savings accounts for their clients without consent.

CEO John Stumpf resigned shortly after that and a federal investigation was conducted into the company.
