OPINION — March 1, I lost the election for Tom Green County Judge but I am proud of our campaign. I want to especially thank my voters, all 2001 of you, for your support. We were able to discuss important issues, like the need for local government to relieve the property taxpayers when State laws will not allow the appraisal districts to slow the rate of increase of property values.
My opponents, Lane Carter and Todd Kolls, ran good campaigns and I congratulate them both.
It was a fun ride. I met many people I never would have during the past four months. I did not leave anything on the table when running for office and I have no regrets. I will remain active in the local community and should another opportunity present itself to run for office again, you can bet I will! In the meantime, it’s time to build my business to the next level and continue to inform the region on the issues that are important to all of us.
