SAN ANGELO, TX -- On Wednesday, Shannon Medical Center released a new COVID-19 video update concerning large gatherings for Christmas.

According to Shannon CEO Shane Plymell, even though the hospitalization rate has improved, there are at least 13 patients in the intensive care unit.

"Christmas is less than two weeks away and we encourage you to please take this into consideration as you make your plans," said Plymell.
