Over 90 Patients Hospitalized With Covid-19 In San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX –– New coronavirus infections remain high in San Angelo as health officials report hundreds of new cases.

According to the report from the health department, there are 317 new infections –– bringing the active case count to 7,220.

Additionally, Covid-19 hospitalizations have risen to 95 patients. This means seven new patients were hospitalized in the last 24 hours.

Late Tuesday afternoon, the health department confirmed two additional deaths in the area. The patients were identified as an unvaccinated female in her 70s and a fully vaccinated male in his 50s, both from Tom Green County.

On Wednesday, officials confirmed the death of an unvaccinated male in his 40s from Irion County. This brings the total coronavirus deaths in Tom Green County to 498 –– 316 from Tom Green County and 182 from other counties.
