San Angelo ISD Hosting Free Voluntary Covid Vaccine Clinic

SAN ANGELO, TX –– In an effort to provide San Angelo families access to the Covid-19 vaccine for children, the San Angelo Independent School District will be offering a free vaccine clinic.

On Tuesday, SAISD employees and SAISD students five years and older can visit the PAYS school campus to receive the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. The PAYS campus is located at 1820 Knickerbocker Road.

According to the district, the clinic will be free and optional and will be held from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. No pre-registration is required to receive the vaccine and walk-ins are welcome.

Students between the ages of 5 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian that can sign the consent paperwork. A picture ID must be presented in order to receive the vaccine.

"The decision to elect to be vaccinated is the individual or parent’s decision. The health, safety and well-being of our students, staff and San Angelo Community continues to be our guiding priority," said SAISD in a statement. "We appreciate the support and collaboration with Shannon Medical Center in providing this opportunity."
