Fifth Graders at Ward Elementary Forced to Quarantine After Covid-19 Surge

 

ABILENE, TX – On Wednesday, the Abilene Independent School District announced all fifth-grade classrooms at Ward Elementary would quarantine after 17 students in that grade tested positive.

According to AISD, all fifth-graders at the school will be allowed to return to school on Monday, October 18th.

During this time the student will attend classes remotely.

Since the start of school, Abilene ISD has closed 10 classrooms due to COVID-19 –– at least nine of them have been in elementary schools.
