Midland Hospital Reaches Maximum Capacity With Covid Surge

MIDLAND, TX – The pandemic is once again straining local hospitals to the max as cases increase exponentially in Midland.

According to officials at Medical Center Hospital, the hospital is at maximum capacity. As of Monday night, the hospital is treating 300 patients –– with 87 of them facing complications from Covid-19.

If the influx of patients continues at the current rate, the hospital may have to set up tents in the parking lot to treat patients.

MCH President Russell Tippin is urging residents to avoid further overwhelming the hospital with unnecessary hospital visits for a couple of days. Tippin described the situation as a crisis.
