Wave of COVID-19 Delta Variant Infections Flow Over San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – According to the daily COVID-19 report published by the City of San Angelo's communications department, on Aug. 16, throughout the past weekend the city's health department reported another 223 COVID-19 infections.

That brings the current active infections to 1,097. Of the 1,097 active cases 69 of the patients are hospitalized because of their symptoms.

The city reported Monday the youngest fatality in Tom Green County. For more on the unvaccinated 20-year-old man who died click here. 

The following is the complete breakdown of cases from the weekend of Aug. 14-16:

  • Saturday: 94
  • Sunday: 69
  • Monday: 70
