Infant Among Those Infected with Covid-19 in Tom Green County

SAN ANGELO, TX -- On Friday, the San Angelo Health Department reported 55 new positive COVID-19 infections.

According to health officials, the new infections were confirmed using  11 PCR tests and 44 antigen tests.

There are currently 1,118 active cases in Tom Green County and there are currently 59 patients hospitalized. At least 19 of the patients are in the intensive care unit.

According to the DSHS, a total of 2,582 patients have received both doses of the COIVD-19 vaccine. At least 8,992 have received at least one dose.

The data also shows the age range with the highest number of positive cases are patients in their 20s
