Over 2,000 More COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Coming to San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Department of State Health Services confirmed Monday that San Angelo will be receiving another shipment of COVID-19 vaccines this week.

According to the DSHS, on Jan. 18, 2,050 COVID-19 vaccine doses are on the way to San Angelo.

1,950 Pfizer vaccine doses are being shipped to the Shannon Pharmacy while the La Esperanza Clinic will receive 100 Moderna vaccine doses. 

Other major West Texas cities getting doses will be Abilene, Midland, Odessa, Lubbock, and El Paso. 

  • Abilene - 1,300 doses
  • El Paso - 11,675 doses
  • Lubbock - 5,100 doses
  • Midland - 5,275 doses
  • Odessa - 4,300 doses

Overall the state of Texas will distribute 333,650 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as part of their Week 6 rollout beginning Jan. 18.
