Abilene Couple Hospitalized With Covid-19 On Christmas Day

ABILENE, TX -- An Abilene couple spent Christmas at Hendrick Medical Center after testing positive for COVID-19 last week.

According to the family, Al Gamez was transported to the hospital by ambulance on Christmas Day. His wife, Cindy, was admitted to the hospital after her husband.

According to their son Nick, the couple had been careful. Back in November, they had canceled their plans to spend Thanksgiving in Austin.

The Gamez family is asking for prayers for their family.

"What we are asking right now, rather you know them or not, just throw out some prayers for them," said Nick Gamez.
