Nine New Covid-19 Cases Confirmed in the San Angelo ISD

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Independent School District officials Tuesday confirmed nine new Covid-19 cases in the district. 

According to the district's website, there are three new staff members and six new students infected with Covid. 

The staff members are from Lincoln and Glenn Middle Schools and San Jacinto Elementary School.  

There are two students who attend Lake View High School, two who attend Central High School and one each who attend Central on Oaks and Santa Rita Elementary School.  

There are 55 active Covid cases in the SAISD.  

All San Angelo ISD High School students will have an early release at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday Dec. 17, 2020. The winter break begins with an early release for all students on Friday Dec. 18, 2020. The release times are as follows: 

  • Elementary 11:35 a.m.
  • Middle School 12:45 p.m.
  • High School 1:30 p.m.
  • Alternative 1:30 p.m.

Students will return to class on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021. 

Updated times for when classes are released for Christmas break were added at 6:40 p.m. on Dec. 16, 2020.
