Taylor County Has No Covid ICU Beds Available As Cases Increase

 

ABILENE, TX -- Even though the Abilene-Taylor County Health District is running a bit behind in confirming COVID-19 deaths, the agency confirmed seven new deaths over the last ten days.

According to health officials, the seven deaths come on the heels of 143 new confirmed cases. 

All seven individuals had preexisting conditions and were in their 70s, 80s, and 90s.

The total death count for Taylor County has reached 97.

There are currently 2,304 active cases, with 101 patients currently hospitalized.

There are currently no ICU beds available at the Hendrick Medical Center.
