Free Face Masks for San Angelo Youth

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Masks continue to be a part of daily life and the Hispanic Heritage Committee is helping San Angelo families keep children safe.

On Saturday, November 14, the committee will be handing out free masks through their  Covers for Kids! Youth Face Mask initiative.

"The objective of Covers for Kids! Youth Face Mask Distribution is to provide free protection to students whose families do not have the means to purchase multiple face coverings," said the committee in a statement."

In addition to the free masks, lanyards will also be distributed to help children avoid misplacement and for easy removal during lunch.

Mask distribution will be held at a drive-thru at The Railway Museum of San Angelo from 10:00 a.m. -- 4:00 p.m.

To speed up the process and maintain sanitary measures the masks and lanyards will be handed out in small bags.

Visitors will be asked to follow the signs for route directions.

The museum will be hosting a Living History Tour on the same day and providing free admission to the first 75 children who visit the museum.
