Coronavirus: High Number of Cases Reported Once Again

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo continues its streak of high daily cases as the health department confirms 62 new cases on Friday.

This brings the weekly total to 291 new cases. There are currently 186 pending tests from all Shannon Campuses.

According to city officials, 88.7 percent of the cases belong to Tom Green County patients. There are currently 482 active cases.

Hospitalizations remain at 37 and the total active case has reached 4,924. The positivity rate for this week has reached 15.9 percent, the highest it has been in months.
