Coronavirus: Out-of-Towners Raise Daily Numbers

SAN ANGELO, TX -- On Friday, the number of out of town patients significantly overshadowed the number of Tom Green County residents that have tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the data presented by the San Angelo Health Department, nearly two-thirds of the cases belonged to patients from several different counties. These counties included: Bell, Bend, Collin, Coryell, Harris, Jefferson, Kimble, Lubbock, Nueces, Waller, and Williamson.

Additionally, most of the out-of-town patients were identified as being between the ages of 17 and 23.

Based on the ages of the patients and county of residence it could be inferred they are college students. This has not been confirmed, but ASU is reporting 34 active cases at the moment.
