SAN ANGELO, TX -- On Sunday the City of San Angelo confirmed 42 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the weekly total to 522. The cases reported on Sunday were are confirmed via PCR testing.
Since Monday the city has reported a total of 348 cases confirmed via PCR and 174 cases confirmed via antigen test, resulting in nearly 67 percent of the cases confirmed using a nose swab.
The city of San Angelo also confirmed a total of 5 new deaths related to coronavirus, bringing the total to 11 deaths in Tom Green County. The city is also reporting one less hospitalization.
According to the data provided by the city, 47 percent of the total cases reported currently remain active.

As of Saturday afternoon Texas is reporting a total of 317,730 cases with an estimated 169,581 classified as recovered. The total death count for COVID-19 in related deaths is 3,865.
