Coronavirus: Texas Hits 129K Cases Statewide

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – On Tuesday the Texas Department of Health Services reported 2,864,541 total tests administered with 129,338 active cases of coronavirus in Texas. 

Prior to Wednesday's update from the Texas Department of Health Services, the number of confirmed cases had risen from the 258,658 previously reported to the 275,058 listed in Tuesday's report. 

Fatality tolls increased from the 3,192 reported on Sunday to the 3,322 recorded Tuesday.

On Tuesday, DSHS reported there were approximately 142,398 recoveries statewide. 

Roughly  2,598,680 of the positive cases have been confirmed using viral testing, while an additional 222,123 have been confirmed using antibody testing.

Counties with the most active cases are Harris county with 47,369 active cases, followed by Dallas with 34,914, and Bexar with 20,213

Counties with the most fatalities are Harris county with 466, followed by Dallas 457, and Tarrant county with 272.
