Coronavirus: Texas has 99,385 Active Cases

 

The Texas Department of Health Services Tuesday reported 2,471,029 total tests administered for coronavirus in Texas. 

Following Tuesday's update from the Texas Department of Health Services, the number of confirmed cases has risen to 210,585 with the current fatality toll up to 2,715 and 108,485 patients who have recovered statewide.

Over 2,221,287 of the positive cases have been confirmed using viral testing, while an additonal 210,574 have been confirmed using antibody tests.

Out of the 254 counties in Texas, 246 are currently reporting current positive coronavirus cases. 

Following a recent spike in positive cases across the state, Texas currently averages nearly 10,028 new cases daily according to Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

Throughout the months of April and May the state recorded an average of roughly 2,000 new cases daily, as the month of June saw nearly 3,318 new cases daily. 

The three Texas counties with the highest case counts are Harris County (37,776), Dallas County (27,054), and Bexr County (15,102).

The top three counties with coronavirus related deaths are Dallas County (401), Harris County (401), Tarrant County (238).
