Coronavirus: Nolan County Doubles Cases in One Week

 

SWEETWATER, TX — Texas continues to see an increase in COVID-19 cases, and in Nolan County, the number of cases has more than doubled in the last week.

According to KTXS, on June 24 the county reported 18 positive cases and by July 1 the case count has risen to 42. The number of active cases more than doubled jumping from 15 to 37 in the same time frame. The first positive case in Nolan County was on June 2.

The Sweetwater-Nolan County Health Department announced on Monday its offices would be closed to the public until further notice. The announcement came after the staff was exposed to COVID-19.
