Coronavirus: Jim Ned Suspends Workouts After Athlete Tests Positive

 

TUSCOLA, TX — After a female athlete tested positive for coronavirus, Jim Ned CISD has temporarily suspended strength and conditioning workouts for the next two weeks.

According to KTXS, the student-athlete attended workouts and sport-specific training sessions last week. The district announced the decision to suspend the program in a Facebook post.

“We have confirmed that a female athlete at Jim Ned has tested positive for COVID-19. She did attend workouts and sports specific training sessions last week.

In response, Jim Ned's administration has decided to halt the girls' summer strength and conditioning and sports-specific programs for High school and Middle school until 

Monday, July 13th. As an extra precaution, the boys' strength and conditioning and sports-specific programs will be halted until Wednesday, July 8th.

We will resume all activities for High school and Middle school athletes on those respective dates.
