Coronavirus: Midland County Detention Center Employees Test Positive

 

MIDLAND, TX — On Tuesday, Midland County confirmed 37 new cases and a total of 14 deaths. As the cases continue to rise in the county, the same appears to be happening inside the jail.

According to CBS7, Midland County has confirmed two employees at the Midland County Detention Center have tested positive for COVID-19. The employees were last present at work on June 15 and June 17 and now are under self-quarantine.

According to Midland County Sheriff Davis Criner, so far nine inmates have tested positive for coronavirus and six test results are currently pending.

The total case count for Midland County is 454.
